My painting exploration begins after I choose a color palette. I'm on a journey not always knowing where the painting is going to take me. I rely on my intuition to guide me as I build relationships through color, line, form and shapes. I'm curious to see what will be reveled as I experiment with washes, drippings, scrapping, rubbing off and layering techniques used to develop my paintings. I'm moved by the sensuality of the oil paint and the colors being used which blend to create new colors and forms. The painting emerges as I go through this process of discovery.

 

I'm drawn to various artists in history, Klimt, Turner and The Group Of Seven. I'm inspired by Abstract Expressionism and the artists, Joan Mitchell, Cy Twombly and Hans Hofmann.
